Hotels for Fallas 2009
Written by valencia blogStill looking for a hotel for Fallas between March 15th and 20th? In that case, I’ve got one thing to tell you! HURRY UP AND BOOK! Starting on the 15th, millions of people will be flooding into Valencia. Freaked out? Well, lucikly there are still rooms available. But they won’t be for long.
All the prices I’ve found and listed below are based on a stay from March 15th-20th and assume that you are booking right now.
The cheapest I could find is Hotel Ibis Valencia Palacio de Congresos:
We actually stayed at this one while we were looking for apartments. It’s very basic — you won’t want to do much but sleep. But what else do you need for Fallas? The hotel is €69 per night. The main drawback is that it’s not extremely central (see map) but it is right next to a Metro station. The plus is that it’s very close to the most expensive Fallas monument ever — Nou Campanar.
Other hotels near the city centre and within walking distance of Fallas activities:
Hotel Kris Abadía
The Kris Abadia is a three star hotel located on Avenida de las Cortes Valencianas and the new Turia Gardens, just fifteen minutes from the historic centre of Valencia (see map). Average cost per night: € 99.28
Expo Hotel Valencia
This one is also 15 minutes from the historic center of Valencia (see map). Average cost per night: €90,60
Catalonia Excelsior Hotel
This hotel is averages €161,60 but is right in the middle of Valencia next to a prime Fallas event – La Mascletà at Ayuntamiento.
If you’ve found something else, post a comment. And if you have a room available, please start a thread in the Valencia forum.
