Carmen and the historic city center are great, but can be overly loud and crowded. Stay in Russafa Youth Hostel, and you’ll experience one of Valencia’s most hip and interesting neighborhoods (here’s some Ruzafa info, pictures and a walk about). With great cafés & restaurants, such as El México de Maria and Tasca de Ruzzafa, packing every corner, you almost don’t need to leave this district.

You’ll be extremely close to the main train station and just a few minutes from all the sights Valencia has to offer. Here for the beach? This hostel is very close to the bus stop which takes you to the natural beaches of Albufera. And probably one of the highlights of staying in this hostel is the Mercado Ruzafa directly across the road.

Planning to come for Fallas? Ruzafa is one of the main Fallas areas of Valencia with the crazy street lights of Calle Sueca, the Sueca Falla and the Falla of Literato Azorín.

Open 24h. Free breakfast. Common room with free internet acces .Wi –Fi. Pic-Nic area (microwave, grill). Free Security Lockers. Fresh linen and towels are included. 1 complete bathroom every 3 rooms. Heating and fans. Credit card: VISA,Mastercard. Last check-in 23.00 hours.

From June 1st to 5th, HostelBookers is giving away 250 hostel beds for 5 cents, at 5 different hot-spots on the Mediterranean as part of its 5-year anniversary celebrations.

    €0,05 … I think you’ll have a hard time beating that price!

The Valencian hostel which is taking part in the giveaway is the Purple Nest, close to the Bancaja Cultural Centre. This is one of the city’s most popular hostels.

More information on the competition can be found on HostelBooker’s website. Even if you don’t get a bed, you have a chance to win other prizes, like a backpack filled with travel supplies.

This is the first post highlighting a few youth hostels in Valencia. These posts will be very similar to our category for Valencia B&B — where we recently highlighted the ABC Bed and Breakfast.

We used to live right around the corner from the Red Nest, located on La Paz. If you choose this hostel, you’ll find everything pretty much in walking distance. And it’s the perfect hostel for Fallas, since you could watch the parades for the flower offering to the virgin from one of the balconies and you don’t have far to go for the 2pm Mascletàs at Ayuntamiento or the night fireworks at the Turia. If you decide to come for Fallas, book now! Rooms will be gone very soon.

Very close to the hostel is Bar Damas where went for breakfast (tostadas and café con leche). Reasonably priced and full of locals. Sol y Luna is very close too; a nice hangout place for the evenings.

What you can expect from Red Nest?

    Free linen.
    Free towels.
    Free security safe boxes.
    Free baggage storage.
    Lockers.
    No hidden costs.
Hostels in Valencia with lots of experience.
Red Nest Youth Hostel offers you a wide range of facilities, that borders the unusual.
Red Nest Youth Hostel offers you the best and biggest guest kitchen in Valencia.
Most spacious dorm rooms in the city and almost in whole Europe.
Awesome Decoration in rooms and common areas.
Located in one of the most important streets in modernism art in Valencia.
Very close to all the pub and night-life areas in Valencia.
